“Vaidyaratnam” was the title bestowed upon the Ashtavaidyan Sri E.T.Narayanan Mooss by the British Govt. in 1924, for his valuable contribution in the field of Ayurveda. Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Foundation was the vision of our founder Ashtavaidyan E.T. Neelakandhan Mooss (Padmashree recipient in 1992) to make available traditional Ayurvedic treatment even to the common man at affordable cost and free to the economically challenged class of the society. The noble dream of our founder became true when his successor, the present managing trustee, Ashtavaidyan E.T.Narayanan Mooss (Padmabhushan recipient in 2010) took initiative by creating a trust namely “ Vaidyaratnam Ayurvedic Research Centre and Charitable Hospital” and it became operational since 1992. Here Medical Consultation, training and research are provided. Subsequently, the trust got renamed as “Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Foundation” in the year 2009.
Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala is in the journey of helping mankind in mitigating their pains & worries from diseases and natural degeneration.
The family of Ashtavaidyan Thaikkattu Mooss, a legend on their own, are engaged in the practice of Ayurveda, the science of life, mastered by ancient Indian Saints. Our tradition dates back to the days of Lord Parasurama, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, believed to have reclaimed Kerala, the land renowned as “God’s own country”. Since then the family is on an epic journey for the welfare of mankind and the saga still continuous in its entire glory and passion.
